i'm kai saran, (b. 2003) a self-taught, multi-disciplinary artist from columbia, south carolina. i'm currently based in greensboro, nc and am finishing my 4th year of college at north carolina a&t state university.
i've been drawn to art for as long as i can remember and am eternally grateful that I grew up in an extremely supportive and equally creative household.
i work with a range of traditional mediums (acrylic, gouache, colored pencils) as well as digital. my purpose in creating is to illustrate feelings that can't always be so easily explained. the subjects that i'm most drawn to are human sexuality, african-american identity, life & death, religion, and socio-political dynamics. i hope that my art will resonate with people on some level!
